Blue Willow Entertainment is looking for entrepreneurial, relationship-driven individuals who want to help grow live music in their communities.
As a Community Representative, you'll represent Blue Willow within an assigned territory by building relationships with venues, businesses, community organizations, and local partners. Your role is to identify opportunities for live music, support local artists, and help create memorable experiences that bring people together.
This isn't a traditional sales role.
It's about becoming the local face of Blue Willow in your community and building lasting relationships that benefit artists, venues, and audiences alike.
About Blue Willow
Blue Willow Entertainment is an Alberta-based live music agency that supports independent artists and works with venues across Western Canada to create meaningful live music experiences.
Since 2024, Blue Willow has:
- Booked and curated more than 1,000 live performances.
- Generated more than $350,000 for independent artists.
- Worked with venues ranging from cafés and breweries to casinos, restaurants, festivals, and major event spaces.
- Built a growing network of artists, venues, and community partners throughout Western Canada.

What You'll Do
As a Community Representative, you'll:
- Build relationships with restaurants, cafés, breweries, hotels, casinos, music venues, and community organizations.
- Introduce businesses to Blue Willow's live music programming.
- Identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
- Stay connected to what's happening in your local music and business community.
- Support existing Blue Willow venue relationships.
- Gather market intelligence and identify new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and provide weekly activity updates.
- Represent Blue Willow professionally at meetings, events, and within the community.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for people who:
- Enjoy meeting new people and building genuine relationships.
- Are self-motivated and entrepreneurial.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Care about supporting local artists and communities.
- Can manage their own schedule and work independently.
- Follow through on commitments.
- Are organized and comfortable using technology.
Experience in hospitality, live events, music, sales, sponsorship, tourism, business development, or community engagement is an asset, but not required.
Compensation
This is an independent contractor position with commission-based compensation.
Community Representatives have the opportunity to earn income through multiple revenue streams, including:
- Venue development commissions.
- Sponsorship opportunities.
- Merchandise partnerships.
- Professional service opportunities.
Detailed compensation will be provided during the interview process and forms part of the Community Representative Agreement.
