Available Tracks & Open Classifications
- Registered Nurses (RNs): Provide acute, long-term, or community care, managing complex clinical profiles and leading shift teams.
- Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs): Deliver specialized mental health intervention, psychiatric nursing assessments, and crisis stabilization.
- Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs): Provide essential nursing care, manage medication administration, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary clinical team.
- Health Care Assistants / Aides (HCAs / PSWs): Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal hygiene, mobility support, and compassionate companionship.
- Allied Health Professionals: Open to Social Workers, Therapists, and rehabilitation staff looking for agency placements.
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking applications for temporary, casual, and as-needed placements to support our growing list of active facility clients. Duties
- Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans based on medical needs and nursing best practices.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately following physician orders and safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs, observe symptoms, and document findings using electronic health records systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Provide wound care, pain management, and support for patients with acute or chronic conditions.
- Assist with laboratory procedures including phlebotomy and specimen collection.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, medication use, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management and ensure continuity of care.
- Support patients across various settings including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, pediatric units, and home health environments.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards to promote a safe environment for patients and staff.
Skills
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and nursing procedures.
- Experience in hospital settings with acute care, pain management, senior care, dementia care, or pediatrics is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including children, seniors, and individuals requiring specialized care such as dementia or laboratory services.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications & Compliance Requirements
To be considered successful for placement, candidates must meet the following baseline compliance criteria upon hiring:
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted registration in good standing with the appropriate BC regulatory body (e.g., BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) for RNs, RPNs, and LPNs, or active registration on the BC Care Aide Registry for HCAs).
- Certifications: Valid, up-to-date CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Background Screening: A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Immunization: Proof of up-to-date immunizations and TB testing as required by BC provincial health guidelines.
- Skills: Exceptional communication skills, adaptability to new facility cultures, and strong clinical decision-making capabilities.
