About the Opportunity

Prosperity Workforce Solutions is recruiting on behalf of our aeromedical transport partner for a highly skilled Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) role.

This is a unique opportunity to deliver advanced, high-acuity care in an aeromedical environment while supporting critical inter-facility transfers. The role is ideal for clinicians who excel in fast-paced environments, value clinical autonomy within a team structure, and are seeking a career that blends critical care with aviation medicine.

Position Overview

The Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) functions as part of a multidisciplinary Air Medical Crew, providing advanced clinical care during aeromedical transport operations.

Working alongside a Critical Care Nurse (RN) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), the ACP is responsible for rapid assessment, stabilization, intervention, and safe transport of patients of all age groups during inter-facility transfers.

Schedule

Rotational: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Full-time fly-in/fly-out deployment

Work Environment

Aeromedical Transport (Fixed Wing & Rotary Wing)
Fast-paced, high-acuity critical care setting
Inter-facility patient transfers across diverse regions

Team Structure

2-person Air Medical Crew (AMC)
Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP)
Critical Care Nurse (RN) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Supported by Online Medical Control (OLMC) Physician

Travel

Flights and accommodations fully arranged and paid
Travel time is compensated
Company-managed logistics for all deployments

Key Responsibilities Clinical Care & Patient Management

Lead clinical care for patients with complex or high-acuity conditions in remote and rural settings
Triage medevac requests and provide clinical guidance to referring facilities
Perform pre-flight and in-flight stabilization and ongoing patient management
Collaborate with Online Medical Control (OLMC) throughout all phases of transport
Apply ethical decision-making related to consent, capacity, and confidentiality

Communication & Coordination

Coordinate with pilots, flight followers, dispatch, and clinical stakeholders
Maintain clear and continuous communication throughout transport operations
Ensure efficient execution of aeromedical missions
Report directly to the Medical Program Manager as part of the clinical leadership structure

Documentation & Compliance

Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation for all transports
Maintain compliance with privacy legislation and organizational standards
Ensure proper handling of patient records and medical reporting requirements

Qualifications & RequirementsEducation

Diploma or degree in a health-related field, or equivalent combination of advanced paramedic training and experience meeting ACP-level competencies

Experience & Licensure

Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic
Current registration in good standing with a Canadian regulatory body
Eligibility for registration in Manitoba

Required Certifications

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Asset Certifications

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Trauma certification (PHTLS or ITLS)
Indigenous cultural awareness training

Mandatory Requirements (Air Medical Crew)

Completion of company aeromedical training (CAMATA Level 1)
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Child Abuse Registry & Adult Abuse Registry checks
Valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Canadian Passport
Fit to Fly medical clearance from a licensed Canadian physician
Proof of required immunizations per company policy
