About the Position:

The Fibre Optic Splicer will assist in the splicing and testing of fibre optic cables throughout Eastern Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities:
· Work in restricted or tight areas such as confined spaces
· Working at Heights
· Visit residential and commercial suites
· Label, Splice (Fusion), and Test cables
· Make records of work completed and compile test results
· Adhere to provincial health and safety regulations
· Maintain Total Install’s high quality of work
Requirements:
· Valid driver's license
· Insurable driver
· Ability to work with hand and power tools
· Knowledge of testing equipment (OTDR, Power Meters, etc)
· Knowledge of Fusion Splicing Equipment (Single, Ribbon, etc)
· Ability to carry heavy equipment of up to 50 lbs.
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (proficient in English language, second language considered an asset)
· Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
· Willingness to work overtime (with occasional weekends and holidays)

The Communication Cabling Technician will assist in installation of fibre optic and copper cables throughout the HRM and surrounding areas. Experience in this line of work is considered an asset, however not mandatory.
Room for advancement within company, training available.
Requirements:
· Valid driver's license
· Insurable driver
· Ability to work with hand and power tools
· Ability to carry heavy equipment of up to 100 lbs.
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (proficient in English language, second language considered an asset)
· Strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
· Willingness to work overtime (with occasional weekends and holidays)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
