Position Summary...

Working as a Grocery Associate at Walmart Canada is a great opportunity to build valuable skills in a fast paced retail environment. In this role, you deliver excellent customer service by living Walmart’s values, keeping the grocery area clean, organized, and well zoned, and supporting stocking and sales activities. As part of the team, you help ensure the store is always ready for customers and contribute to a positive, dependable shopping experience. This role is ideal for individuals looking for an engaging position in customer service or retail.

What you'll do...

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Maintain Grocery Department Standards
Keeps the grocery department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.

Stock Rotation and Product Quality
Rotates merchandise regularly and removes expired or damaged products to maintain freshness and quality.

Pricing, Signing, and Inventory Accuracy
Ensures merchandise is correctly signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.

Food Safety and Sanitation
Follows food safety, handling, sanitation, and cleaning procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.

Stocking and Modular Execution
Ensures the department is fully stocked and ready for business by stocking merchandise and picks, completing downstocking as required, applying product protection when needed, and setting and completing modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

Health and Safety Compliance
Follows all Health and Safety guidelines and Company policies to maintain a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

High Task Volume in a Fast-Paced Environment

Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused.
Effectively manages work hours and plans ahead to maintain energy and focus throughout the shift.
Handles a fast-paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.

Physical Demands

Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
