Job Title: Construction Safety OfficerJob Description
We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable Construction Safety Officer to enforce site safety on an active construction project in Delta/Richmond, BC. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements. Additionally, they will be required to perform minor labor work to support site operations.
Responsibilities-
Manage and enforce site safety policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC (WCB) rules and regulations.

Complete and maintain safety documentation, reports, and records.

Conduct regular site safety inspections and hazard assessments.

Coordinate incident reporting and follow-up actions.

Communicate effectively with site supervisors and workers regarding safety concerns.

Conduct orientation sessions.

Ensure pre-employment testing is completed.

Support site operations by moving pumps and assisting with general labor duties.
Essential Skills-
2+ years of experience in a safety role such as CSO or OFA3 on commercial sites.

6+ months of experience working on a site for Heavy Civil/Industrial or Earthworks scope.

OFA3 Certificate.

Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC (WCB) regulations.

Comfortable using computers for reporting and documentation.

Willingness to perform physical tasks and general labor as needed.

Good communication skills.

Driver's license and clean driving record.

Willingness to work AM/PM shift and weekend rotation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications-
CSO Certificate is a plus.

Work Environment
The project is located in Delta/Richmond. The work hours are from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with 8-hour days. The role starts in June and the duration is 1-2 years. The day shift is from 6am to 4pm, and the night shift is from 4pm to 12pm, with the potential to extend to 10-hour shifts. There is a weekend shift rotation once a month on Saturdays.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
