Horizon Maritime Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Marine Captain to join our Tugboat operations in British Columbia.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Piloting an ASD-equipped tugboat to guide tanker vessels into port along the British Columbia coast
- Adhering to Transport Canada and KOTUG Canada safety regulations and guidelines, operating in a safe and reliable manner
- Consistent, efficient, and cooperative communication with port authorities, vessel captains, and other involved parties
- Supervising deckhands and other seafaring staff to ensure safety guidelines are upheld, and the vessels are operated in an efficient manner
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master 3000 Ton Certificate of Competency
- STCW Marine Emergency Duties training
- Vessel Personnel with Security Responsibilities or Ship Security Officer training
- Valid Transport Canada issued Seafarer Medical
- Marine First Aid
- WHMIS 2015
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
- Hourly wage $75.17
- Health, Dental, short-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and life insurance upon hire
