Lang Structural Engineering Inc. is an established mid-sized consulting firm located in Abbotsford, BC., providing structural engineering services in the building design and construction industry. We are experienced in providing effective structural solutions within several industry sectors including commercial, industrial, institutional, residential, agricultural, and light gauge steel construction.

We are seeking a structural drafter for full time employment.

Candidate Profile

A person who acts with integrity, and who treats others with respect and courtesy
Self-motivated learner who takes pride in their work
Punctual with excellent time management skills
Detail oriented

Key Responsibilities

Prepare structural drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
Coordinate and communicate with project engineer and design team
Contribute to improving drafting efficiency and cataloguing of standard details
Additional tasks as needed, depending on ambition and aptitude.

Qualifications and Competencies

To qualify for this position, you will have the following:

Diploma in CADD, or equivalent
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
Ability to read, interpret, and explain structural and architectural drawings
Ability to correspond with colleagues, clients, and contractors clearly and professionally
Previous work experience in an engineering environment an asset
Experience in or knowledge of the construction industry an asset

This full-time position includes competitive compensation, comprehensive group benefits, discretionary performance bonuses, and annual performance and salary reviews.
