Full job description

The bilingual Inside (Counter) Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and product knowledge to customers in a Landscape and Masonry retail operation. This role involves assisting customers with inquiries, processing orders, promoting products, and ensuring a seamless in-store experience. Additionally, the representative works closely with the sales and inventory teams to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Assist customers in selecting appropriate products based on their needs.
Provide detailed product knowledge, including features, benefits, and applications.
Process customer orders, including in-person and phone orders.
Address customer concerns and escalate issues as necessary to ensure satisfaction.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with inventory teams to ensure product availability.
Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Assist in merchandising and promotional activities to boost sales.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with the sales team to identify and pursue opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
Communicate with suppliers or warehouse teams regarding special orders or backordered items.
Provide feedback to management regarding customer trends, inventory needs, and sales opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, quotes, and customer details.
Prepare daily reports on sales activities and customer interactions.
Other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Education:

Grade 12 or equivalent (GED) is the minimum acceptable level of base education.

Essential Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years in a retail or customer service role, preferably in the construction or landscaping industry.
Experience with POS systems and inventory management software is an asset.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Bonus Experience:

Strong product knowledge of landscape and masonry materials.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
