Job Requirements:
· Valid Nova Scotia Drivers License & Insurance
· Clear Drivers Abstract & Criminal Record Check
· Valid First Aid and CPR Level C or HCP ( Training Available )
· Valid WHMIS ( Training Available )
· COVID-19 Vaccination Not Required
Please note: CCA & LPN certification is not required. Training will be provided. CCA & LPN Certified positions are available.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide general attention to client's non-medical needs in accordance with an established Care Plan.
· Aids with all aspects of personal care, including bathing (tub, shower, or bed bath), grooming, oral hygiene, mobility assistance, transferring and positioning, and incontinence care. ( Training available )
· Assists with or provides meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping, laundry, companionship, transportation, errands, and shopping. The level of assistance will be outlined in the client’s care plan.
· Provides companionship for the client, including but not limited to: talking and listening, reading aloud, providing social and emotional support.
· Provides emotional support and promotes a sense of well-being.
· Provides for a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients and family members.
· Completes all cleaning tasks per company guidelines and follows client profiles.
· Prepares and serves nutritious meals as directed. Ensures that dishes are washed, and the kitchen is clean after each meal.
· Assists client in completing necessary phone calls, letter writing, etc. Accompanies client on walks, community trips, doctor’s office, bank, beauty salon, etc.
