Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Construction Framers/Carpenters to join our construction team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in framing structures and be proficient in various construction techniques. This role involves working with blueprints and schematics to construct and assemble frameworks for buildings, ensuring precision and quality in every project. We take on a lot of different scopes of work so there is a lot of different skills to learn. We do framing, decks, fences, exterior finishes and interior finishes.

Duties

Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics to accurately frame structures.
Utilize hand tools and heavy equipment for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks as required.
Install siding and other exterior finishes to enhance the building's aesthetics.
Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged framing components.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of building codes.
Experience with hand tools and heavy equipment operation.
Construct building structures and frameworks, including walls, floors, windows, doors, stairs etc
Frame floor systems, wall and roof trusses
Must have a working knowledge of framing and foundation components.
Strong carpentry skills with an emphasis on precision and attention to detail.
Safety conscious and willing to adhere to all safety policies and practices.
Must have basic tools (belt, hammer, level) and PPE (steel-toed boots, hard hat)
Valid Driver's license and reliable transportation an asset
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude, punctual and able to follow directions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
