Bookkeeper (Part-Time, Hybrid)

Arbutus Ridge Golf Club – Cobble Hill, BC

Arbutus Ridge Golf Club is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working independently while supporting a dynamic golf, hospitality, and events operation.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a combination of remote work and occasional on-site attendance for meetings, reconciliations, and operational support.

Position Details

Position: Bookkeeper
Location: Arbutus Ridge Golf Club, Cobble Hill, BC
Schedule: 25–30 hours per week
Compensation start : $30.00 per hour
Work Arrangement: Hybrid ( primarily office, with remote work available)
Benefits: Eligible after three months of employment

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform bank, credit card, and merchant account reconciliations
Process payroll and maintain payroll records
Prepare GST/PST remittances and other government filings
Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
Maintain vendor files and process invoices
Reconcile membership payments and customer accounts
Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as required
Support external accountants during year-end preparation
Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all financial information

Qualifications

Minimum 2years of bookkeeping experience
Diploma or certificate in Accounting or Bookkeeping preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, ADP, POS Systems or similar)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Experience in hospitality, golf, recreation, or service industries is considered an asset.
