Coastal Mountain Child & Youth Services Ltd. has been serving children, youth, and families in the Cowichan Valley for over 25 years. We have a CYC background and philosophy; our programs are trauma-informed, and we strive to achieve this with our children, youth and families. We are CARF Accredited. We build our programs around our children, youth, and families. We work collaboratively with other community agencies through a wraparound approach. Job description

Coastal Mountain Child & Youth Services Ltd. is looking for two Part-Time Residential Child & Youth Workers in the Cowichan Valley. The position involves working 1-to-1 with youth in a semi-independent home environment, as well as 1-to-1 with youth. The role will provide a treatment-focused approach with an emphasis on trauma-informed practice. This float position also supports two programs at one location. Starting Wage is $27.54 with a 3-month paid probation period. Must be enrolled and/or have completed a 2-year Child & Youth Care diploma or be enrolled in the 3rd year of a Child & Youth Care BA or related field. Experience in the social service sector is preferred. Written and oral communication will be part of the daily expectations. The ability to work on your own as well as in a team setting in a very fast-changing environment. The environment can be stressful. Staff must be able to set boundaries and work within a multidisciplinary team in the community. Criminal Record Check and Hub Clearance required.

Opening

Permanent part-time, 24-hour job share (bi-weekly)

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts: 13:00-21:00

(This could vary due to operational needs)

Work remotely
