Duties & Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination activities across office and site operations
Participate in daily safety meetings, site inspections, and help promote a positive safety culture
Assist with project administration including schedules, logs, invoices, purchase orders, RFIs, submittals, and document control
Prepare and update AutoCAD drawings, work plans, staging diagrams, sketches, and as-built documentation
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, foremen, and field crews to support project execution and progress tracking
Assist with crew timesheets, work orders, rental equipment coordination, and billing-related activities
Support QA/QC activities including concrete pours, inspections, photo documentation, and completion of project checklists
Review project drawings and specifications to identify design conflicts, omissions, and constructability concerns
Monitor field activities to ensure compliance with company standards, project specifications, and safety requirements
Assist with change management processes, field change requests, and project scope updates
Conduct document control functions including tracking RFIs, submittals, agreements, and project correspondence
Continuously develop construction knowledge and project management skills while contributing to team success
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree or diploma in engineering or engineering technology (civil or geotechnical), or construction management with 0-3 years of construction industry experience
Confident communicator
Proficient with MS Office Software
Valid BC driver’s license and clean abstract
Ability and willingness to travel and work in remote project locations based on operational needs.
AutoCAD skills preferred
Good work ethic and a willingness to learn
Compensation:
The role is an onsite, permanent, full-time position with a typical starting salary range of $65,000 to $70,000 per annum. Variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role. Norland offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes a competitive base salary, extended health and dental plans with premiums full paid by the company, as well as paid time off and RRSP matching.
