Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our brunch restaurant in Uxbridge. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, efficient, and welcoming kitchen environment while supporting food preparation and service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food industry standards, food safety, and providing excellent service to our guests. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable restaurant experience and develop culinary skills in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and basic meal assembly under the supervision of kitchen staff
Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment through proper washing and sanitizing procedures
Support the kitchen team by organizing supplies and ensuring all items are stored correctly
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling of ingredients and cleanliness standards
Assist with serving guests when necessary, ensuring prompt and courteous service
Help with general kitchen cleanup during and after shifts to uphold health regulations and safety standards
Support meal preparation activities as needed to ensure timely service during busy hours

Requirements

Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
Knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward assisting colleagues and serving guests
Basic understanding of cooking techniques and food preparation is a plus
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends if needed
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting supplies or dishes

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
