Overview

Join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier/Supervisor, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while leading and managing daily store operations. This energetic position combines the fast-paced environment of retail sales with supervisory responsibilities, ensuring smooth cashier operations, effective team management, and a welcoming shopping experience for all customers. Your leadership will help foster a positive store atmosphere, drive sales, and uphold high standards of merchandising, pricing, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily cashier functions, ensuring accurate cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) transactions, and adherence to cash management procedures
Lead and supervise team members to deliver outstanding customer service, including training new staff and providing ongoing coaching
Manage merchandising activities by organizing product displays, pricing items correctly, and maintaining store presentation standards
Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure stock levels meet customer demand while optimizing inventory turnover
Implement sales strategies to boost retail sales and achieve store goals through effective communication and marketing initiatives
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism and a positive attitude
Monitor store operations including scheduling, budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks to ensure efficiency and compliance

Requirements

Proven supervising or team management experience within a retail environment
Strong cashiering skills with expertise in POS systems and cash handling procedures
Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
Knowledge of merchandising, pricing strategies, and retail sales techniques
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities such as recruiting, training & development, and payroll processing
Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff and managing store operations
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping, inventory control, and administrative tasks
Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
Exceptional customer service skills with phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities
Multilingual capabilities are desirable to enhance team communication and customer engagement
