Full job description

Lead Financial Strategy and Drive Business Growth

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team in Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior leadership, improving financial performance, and supporting long-term business growth.

As CFO, you will oversee the organization's financial operations, planning, reporting, compliance, and risk management while providing strategic guidance that supports key business decisions. If you're a collaborative leader with strong financial expertise and a passion for driving results, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Oversee financial reporting, accounting, and month-end/year-end processes.
Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor cash flow, capital allocation, and financial performance.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, investments, and business growth.
Lead financial risk management and internal controls.
Manage external audits, banking relationships, and financial stakeholders.
Mentor and develop the finance and accounting team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA designation preferred.
Extensive experience in senior financial leadership, including executive-level finance roles.
Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Experience with financial analysis, risk management, and corporate governance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and financial regulations.
Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial reporting tools is an asset.
