Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fire Stopper to join our construction and restoration team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, and maintaining fire-stopping systems designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke within buildings. Your expertise will ensure that structures meet safety standards and comply with fire protection regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to life safety through precise craftsmanship and teamwork.

Duties

Install fire-resistant materials and barriers according to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and secure fire-stopping components
Conduct inspections of installed fire barriers to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes
Perform restoration work including caulking, sealing, and finishing around installed fire stops
Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspection results

Requirements

Proven experience with construction projects, especially in fire protection or related fields
Proficiency in using hand tools, caulking guns, and other construction equipment
Ability to work with diverse materials such as drywall, concrete, metal, and insulation
Strong attention to detail to ensure proper installation and compliance standards are met
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
