Our catering sous chef is the third-in-command in our catering kitchen, managing high-volume food production, supervising prep and line staff, and ensuring event execution meets quality standards, this is also a hands on position. You coordinate directly with executive chefs the catering team and Catering Manager, to deliver consistent dining experiences for weddings, corporate functions, meetings and large parties.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Assists and supports the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef, Helps select and train kitchen staff.
Cooks and helps with Food production and oversees the preparation and service of food for the Catering, this is a hands on position.
Offers guidance to front line supervisor, cooks on the preparation, cooking and presentation of different foods in the dining hall, and special events.
Work closely with all the kitchen supervisor and assists in the enforcement of health and safety standards in the kitchen.
Handles any problems that arise in the kitchen.
Helps in ensuring customers are served efficiently and effectively.
Procurement of supplies and proper product rotation in all coolers and freezer.
Maximize the company profit while reducing the wastage, train and guide cooks and supervisor as per company policies.
Work on line as needed during shift.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
