Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with children, fostering a safe and engaging learning environment, and supporting their developmental needs. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while working in a collaborative and nurturing setting. We are looking for someone with open availability between the hours of 8:30-5:30. **Strong English communication skills required***

Duties

Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and structured activities to ensure safety and engagement
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and learning
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
Assist with daily routines such as diapering, feeding, and hygiene practices in accordance with health and safety standards
Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed
Maintain cleanliness of the classroom and educational materials to ensure a safe and healthy environment

Qualifications

Prior classroom experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and developmentally appropriate practices
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
Strong caregiving skills with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
Ability to create engaging, safe, and nurturing learning experiences for children of various ages
Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is expected
A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$19.00 per hour
