Our Edmonton team is seeking Line Painters/Labourers.
In this role you will work on a wide variety of projects for various clients across the city and Northern Alberta. No experience is necessary – all training is provided.
The ideal candidate will be expected to work 40-50 hours per week with weekends and overtime work required. THIS IS A SEASONAL ROLE, running from July through early September. We have positions available for both day and overnight work. This is a fantastic opportunity for post-secondary students to gain tangible employment experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Operate walk-behind and self-propelled paint machines (GRACO Line Lazer) to paint indoor and outdoor surfaces (parking lot lines, curbs, stencils, crosswalks, etc.)
- Epoxy indoor lines and flooring, including floor preparation (shotblasting, grinding)
- Asphalt crack filling, including surface preparation
- Asphalt sealcoating
- Athletic court coatings and lines
- Rubber speed bump installation
- Perform housekeeping duties within the trucks, trailers, shop and yard
WHAT YOU BRING
- A class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record and a reliable mode of transportation
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role with lots of walking, bending and lifting (up to 75lbs)
- Flexible; Able to adjust to a flexible schedule due to the constraints of different sites, weather and workload, as well as able to adjust plans and priorities in response to changing circumstances
- Ability to work independently as well as with others
- Self-motivated, punctual
- Safety conscious with the willingness to learn and practice safe work habits and actively participate in workplace safety
