What You'll Do

As an Optometric Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting both our doctors and patients throughout their visit.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assist the Optometrist with patient care, including pre-testing and preliminary examinations.
Prepare patients for specialized Dry Eye, Myopia Management, and Specialty Contact Lens appointments.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
Schedule appointments and manage daily patient flow.
Welcome patients and provide an outstanding customer service experience.
Process insurance claims, billing, and other front desk administrative duties.
Educate patients on eyewear, contact lenses, Dry Eye products, and Myopia Management solutions.
Support retail sales of eyewear and specialty products.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

Minimum one year of experience as an Optometric Assistant is required.
Previous experience using electronic medical records is preferred.

Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
