Pro West Solar Systems is part of Pro West Electrical, a growing Edmonton-area company delivering solar and electrical solutions for homeowners and businesses.
We are looking for an experienced sales professional who can personally produce at a high level while helping strengthen the sales process, business development, CRM discipline, client experience, and development of other sales professionals.
This is a player-coach role. You will lead by example: managing your own sales opportunities while helping build the standards, systems, and sales capability needed as the solar division grows.
Direct solar experience is an asset, but strong experience in consultative, technical, home improvement, construction, energy, or other high-consideration sales environments may also be relevant.
- Manage the full sales cycle from qualified opportunity through signed agreement and clean handoff to operations.
- Conduct homeowner consultations, discovery conversations, proposal presentations, and closing discussions.
- Follow up consistently and maintain an accurate, active pipeline in the CRM.
- Develop additional business through referrals, networking, events, partner relationships, and other appropriate business-development activities.
- Monitor opportunities, next steps, conversion activity, and sales performance.
- Help strengthen repeatable sales practices, expectations, and processes.
- Participate in sales training, role play, call review, coaching, and performance development.
- Coach and support other sales professionals through feedback, training, pipeline reviews, and practical sales development.
- Help identify gaps in lead conversion, follow-up, proposal movement, and closing performance and contribute practical improvements.
- Participate directly in complex or higher-value customer consultations when needed.
- Work closely with ownership, marketing, design, operations, field teams, and finance/admin to support strong customer experiences and production-ready sales handoffs.
- Help recruit and develop future sales professionals as the solar division grows.
- Represent Pro West professionally and protect client trust throughout the sales process.
- 5+ years of progressive consultative sales experience in a structured, performance-driven environment.
- A proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with measurable examples such as revenue generated, quota attainment, sales volume, close rates, or rankings.
- Strong experience managing and closing a full sales cycle, including discovery, qualification, presentations, objection handling, negotiation, follow-up, and closing.
- Demonstrated success selling higher-value products or services, preferably in solar, home improvement, construction, HVAC, roofing, electrical, energy, in-home sales, or another complex B2C sales environment.
- Experience with CRM systems, pipeline management, KPIs, forecasting, and performance accountability.
- Business-development experience such as referrals, networking, events, outreach, or partner relationships.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, training, onboarding, or developing sales professionals is preferred.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, follow-up, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to evaluate sales activity and identify practical ways to improve conversion and revenue production.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and operational teams.
- A consistent performance history showing sustained success and increasing responsibility.
- Valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, and availability to travel throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas for customer appointments and business-development activities.
- Previous solar experience is not required. Pro West will provide training on its solar products, solutions, systems, and internal processes.

Target first-year earnings: 90,000 to 130,000+ depending on performance.
This is a performance-based sales opportunity. Compensation structure, including the applicable commission and/or bonus components, will be explained clearly during the hiring process.
Flexible schedule based on customer and business-development needs.
Evening and weekend availability may occasionally be required for customer appointments or events.
Peak solar season typically runs from March through November.
