Position Title: Auto Body Technician
Location: Edmonton, AB
Report To: Store Team Lead and Production Manager
Position Summary
The autobody technician increases the efficiency of the store by ensuring they follow a systematic approach to all repairs.
By properly dismantling the vehicle fully, including the blend panel trim parts, it will ensure the complete listing of parts and labour of the collision and the damage can be identified early in the cycle time of the repairs.
You must be highly organized and must keep excellent documentation, to minimize losses. He/she must be able to read and understand the estimate to ensure the parts being utilized mirror match the vehicle parts to be replaced any incorrect items need to be documented on the supplemental damage sheet and communicated immediately when repairs are halted or daily in the one-on-one walk about with management.
The autobody technician is expected to participate in daily production / release meetings to provide key information to managerial staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Following a systematic approach to all repairs.
- Ensure the complete listing of parts and labour of the collision and the damage can be identified early in the cycle time of the repairs.
- Return any unused parts to parts department.
- Perform housekeeping in the shop.
- Attend daily production meetings.
- Quality control for all jobs completed.
Qualifications & Skills
- Journeyman/Red Seal certification is required or 5+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of Mitchell Repair Center.
- I-CAR training is preferred.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining the quality of work.
- Valid Driver’s License.

Hours of Operation
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: Closed
- Occasional extended hours may be required based on operational needs.
