Hourly Rate: $19.00 + depending on skills and experience

Job Duties: Installing sheet metal in a Commercial setting, work may involve any of the following:

Use hand and power shears and snips, and light metal-working equipment to cut, drill, punch, bend, and shape sheet metal.
Fasten components together with bolts, screws, rivets, adhesives.
Install air handling equipment, furnaces, fans, Air handlers, MUA, RTU.
Fabricate, assemble, and install, sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, Spiral pipes of all sizes up to 36”.
Placement of new Equipment on roof over curbs.
Install prefabricated sheet metal ducts used for heating, air conditioning, or other purposes.
Ensuring compliance with appliance and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in HVAC is an asset.
Proven experience in residential sheet metal work or a related field. *Please apply if you are looking to begin your apprenticeship but have no experience.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication machinery.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety standards and practices in the sheet metal industry.

Other required qualifications:

Valid class 5 drivers license with a clean commercial driving record
WHMIS
CSTS
Own basic hand tools
Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
Ability to work in a fast paced and independent environment
