Junior Chemical Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a chemical engineer or technician to join our team.

Your role involves well testing for natural gas manufacturing and ensuring that our operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.

Tasks and Objectives of this role

Conducting research and experiments to develop new products, improve existing products.
Operating natural gas chromatograph systems for various clients.
Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards in all chemical processes for the oil and gas industry.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals, including production, quality control and research and development.
Analysing data and performance metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
Preparing technical reports, documentation and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Participating in the scale-up and commercialisation of new products and processes from the laboratory to full-scale production.
Perform risk assessments and safety analyses to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
Monitor and analyse production data to regulate process parameters and improve yields.
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and equipment required for chemical processes.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements and best practices in chemical engineering.

Required skills and qualifications

Proficiency in using chemical engineering software and simulation tools (Chromatograph) would be an asset.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices in chemical engineering.

Preferred skills and qualifications

· Familiarity with oil and gas process control and automation technologies.

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
