Job Summary
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE DIRECT AND EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE AS A DRILLER, (DRILLING ON WATER WELL RIGS ONLY), PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS JOB! THERE ARE NO AVAILABLE ENTRY LEVEL POSITIONS AVAILABLE BY APPLYING FOR A JOB YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED FOR. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced WATER WELL DRILLER to conduct drilling operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to build effective teams while ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high operational standards.

Duties

Supervise field operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Coordinate and manage daily activities of crew members on-site, providing guidance and support as needed.
Monitor equipment performance and maintenance schedules, utilizing mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues.
Ensure proper use of heavy machinery by team members, promoting safe operating practices.
Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute drilling operations efficiently.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain a safe working environment.
Train new employees on operational procedures, safety protocols, and equipment handling.
Maintain accurate records of daily operations, equipment usage, and personnel activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the oil and gas industry or related fields.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Experience with horizontal drilling techniques is highly desirable.
Valid commercial driving license preferred; experience operating forklifts is a plus.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build cohesive teams.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and management.

Pay: $30.14-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 95 per week

DRIVING SEMI TRUCK WITH A MANUAL TRANSMISSION: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

JOURNEYMAN WATERWELL DRILLER LICENSE (preferred)
AIR BRAKE ENDORSEMENT (preferred)
CLASS 1 LICENSE (preferred)

Location:

Willingness to travel:

75% (required)
