Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our Growing practice, able to help grow business! Flexible hours from 3-4 hours to full day 7 hr shift with minimum guaranteed.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality eye care services. This role involves examining, diagnosing, and treating visual system disorders, as well as managing overall eye health. The Optometrist will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and senior care, ensuring that each individual receives personalized attention and care.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health.
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions.
Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision aids based on patient needs.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the use of prescribed treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records using medical terminology and electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
Participate in sales of optical products, ensuring patients receive the best options for their needs.
Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state optometry license to practice.
Previous optical experience is preferred.
Familiarity with pediatrics and senior care is a plus.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye health.
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
