Full job description

The Splatsin are the most southern tribe of the Secwepemc Nation, the largest Interior Salish speaking First Nation in Canada, whose aboriginal territory stretches from the BC/Alberta border near the Yellowhead Pass to the plateau west of the Fraser River, southeast to the Arrow Lakes and to the upper reaches of the Columbia River.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Health Director, you will provide key administrative support to all members of the Health Clinic, with an eye for detail and a love of organizing. Combining your initiative, drive, and interpersonal skills, you support the Health Director, team members, and community members in managing all the flow of people entering and leaving the centre, assist them with health centre questions and direct and deliver them to the appropriate professional.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Answer and direct all phone calls.

Greet all office guests.

Manage, clean, and organize the front desk.

Schedule meetings, client visits, and company events.

Manage supplies in the copy rooms, snack room, and lounge.

Collect and sort all mail and packages.

Provide administrative support to all team members as necessary.

Answer guests' and employees' questions.

Process invoices and pay outstanding bills for company accounts, as directed.

Perform light bookkeeping and financial record-keeping, as directed.

Provide tours of the office.

Support the office manager and administrative assistants.

Conduct all reasonable tasks that are assigned to you by the Health Director.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

High school diploma, or equivalent; however, possessing an Office Administration Certificate or Diploma would be an asset.

Be able to provide a professional presence.

Previous relevant work experience as a receptionist would be an asset.

Familiarity with the MS Office suite of programs, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to operate office equipment, such as scanners, copiers and printers.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 per hour
