Full job description

Gilliss Casing Services Inc. – Estevan, Saskatchewan

Gilliss Casing Services Inc. is seeking an experienced and dependable Office & Accounting Manager to join our team.

This is a key position within our company, working closely with ownership and management to oversee the day-to-day accounting, payroll, reporting, and administrative functions of the business.

We are looking for an established professional with 15+ years of relevant experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, office management, or a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, customer payment platforms, supplier payments, and remittances
Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll, direct deposits, source deductions, and employee payroll records
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using Sage 50 / Simply Accounting
Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
Prepare regular financial and sales reports for ownership and management
Prepare and submit GST, PST, WCB, and other required government filings
Coordinate year-end information and documentation with external accountants
Maintain employee records and assist with new employee onboarding
Track equipment usage and maintain related company records
Assist with general safety administration and employee training records
Manage vehicle/equipment renewals and other general office administration

Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

15+ years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and/or office management experience
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
Experience with Sage 50 / Simply Accounting or comparable accounting software
Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
Excellent organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take ownership of the position
Strong discretion when handling confidential financial and employee information

Experience with oilfield or service-company accounting and WCB reporting would be considered an asset.
