Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and professional Chef de Partie. This position is full-time and the hourly pay includes health benefits and tips.

The successful candidate is someone who pays serious attention to detail, cleanliness and food safety requirements. They possess 5-6 years previous experience working the grill, and have butchery experience.

The Chef de Partie will play a key role in supporting the restaurant's vision for consistent, high-quality food and ensuring that it is delivered in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.

Experience with Mediterranean Italian cuisine is an asset.

REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES

Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within their specific section
Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in training line cooks
Preparing fish, meat and other prepared items
Managing inventory levels and ensuring par levels are communicated to Sous and/or Head Chef
Work as a team with the Executive Chef and FOH management to properly prepare for daily service
Following standard operating procedures for ordering, delivery intake, cleaning and other BOH duties
Assist in properly receiving and storing delivered items
Clean food prep areas, equipment, and utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, and hygiene guidelines
Strictly adhere to WHMIS and MSDS guidelines
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
Excellent attention to detail with a creative flair
Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights
Must be energetic with a passion for food and a positive attitude
Must be able to clearly give and follow oral and written instructions
Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism (i.e., punctuality, commitment to the job, well-groomed, mannerly, great teamwork etc.)
Long periods of standing and walking are required
