Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Junior Recruiter to join our Toronto team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to launch a career in technical recruitment with full training, structured development, and support from an established, industry-leading team.
The Role
As a Junior Recruiter specializing in Engineering within the Rail & Infrastructure sector, you will play a key role in identifying and engaging top engineering talent. You will work closely with senior consultants and hiring managers to support recruitment campaigns across roles such as:
- Electrical Engineers
- Project Managers
- Software Engineers
- Project Engineers
- Procurement
- Systems Engineer
You will gain hands-on exposure to recruitment strategy, candidate management, and client engagement within a highly technical and fast-moving industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and identify engineering professionals using job boards, LinkedIn, and internal databases
- Screen and interview candidates to assess technical skills and cultural fit
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines within the Rail & Infrastructure sector
- Support senior recruiters with job briefings and candidate shortlists
- Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communications
- Maintain accurate records within the company CRM/ATS
- Develop market knowledge of engineering disciplines and infrastructure projects
- Contribute to team targets and business development initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Strong interest in recruitment, engineering, or the rail sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, driven, and eager to learn
- Ability to work in a hybrid Toronto-based environment
Desirable (but not essential):
- Internship or placement experience in recruitment, sales, HR, or engineering
- Understanding of rail, construction, and/or infrastructure markets
