Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in math and science subjects, including algebra, geometry, biology, chemistry, physics, and computer science.
Develop customized lesson plans that align with students’ curriculum and learning objectives.
Assess students’ understanding and progress regularly to adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, critical thinking, and active participation.
Utilize computer skills to incorporate educational technology and resources into tutoring sessions.
Support students with classroom assignments, test preparation, and homework help.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student performance.

Qualifications

Must be very familiar with Ontario math curriculum.
Have very good patient to teach your students.
Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of math (including algebra, geometry) and science (biology, chemistry, physics).
Experience with tutoring or teaching is highly desirable.
Familiarity with classroom teaching methods and special education strategies is a plus.
Good computer skills to utilize online resources and educational software effectively.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Patience, adaptability, and a passion for helping students succeed.
Relevant coursework or background in computer science is advantageous. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals committed to fostering academic success in young learners while developing their teaching skills in a supportive environment.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
