9am - 1pm or1pm - 5pm Monday to Friday

Are you motivated by the chance to help ensure all young people in Canada can access mental health support and Feel Out Loud? Kids Help Phone (KHP) is Canada’s Unlock The Hope Youth Charity. We’re the first and only 24/7 e-mental health service in the country and a global leader in innovation for youth and their well-being.

The Opportunity

As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate with a Crisis Responder Coach to ensure that crisis responders, volunteers from across Canada, have a best-in-class training experience as they learn to support service users. Your work will contribute to our key texting service indicators (KPIs), contributing to a consistent and supportive training experience.

What You'll do

Grade a high volume of quizzes and activities in a standardized training
Provide structured and customized feedback to support crisis responder trainees in their learning and development
Provide input into training materials and program newsletters
Participate in team meetings, projects and alignment on training materials and communications
Support the overall success and readiness of volunteers

What You'll Need

Pursuing a degree or diploma in a social work or education-related field
Experience learning or teaching in an online environment preferred
Comfortable working independently and remotely
Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
Possess an acceptable "Vulnerable Person Sector Criminal Reference Check" prior to starting employment (can be conducted by the organization for successful candidates)

You’ll already have the following:

Ability to work collaboratively with others in a virtual team
Ability to focus in a fast-paced environment and multitask
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Commitment to the promise and purpose of the organization
As this is a remote position, you must have stable internet and telephone lines and a workspace that promotes confidentiality and minimizes distractions.
Flexibility and willingness to work in a 24/7 environment, including evening and weekend work
Ability to secure an acceptable “Vulnerable Person Sector Criminal Reference Check”
Ability to travel to KHP offices as required
