Full job description

Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant

Queen West Physio is looking for a reliable, compassionate and energetic Physiotherapy Assistant to join our in-person clinic team.

This is a patient-facing role for someone who enjoys helping people feel comfortable, supported and confident during their rehabilitation. You will work alongside physiotherapists and other clinic staff to help patients complete their treatment safely and have a positive experience at every visit.

Position details

Job type: Temporary or permanent, part-time.
Location: In person at 345 Queen St W Brampton
Hours: Approximately 4-16 hours per week:
Monday: 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 3:00–7:00 p.m.
Wednesday: [potentially 9-12]
Thursday: 3:00–7:00 p.m.
The schedule may vary slightly according to clinic needs.
Expected start date: within 1-2 weeks

Main responsibilities

Greet patients and help them feel welcome and at ease.
Prepare treatment areas and exercise equipment.
Guide patients through prescribed exercises according to the physiotherapist’s instructions.
Monitor patients during exercises and promptly communicate concerns to the physiotherapist.
Administer modalities
Assist with clinic flow, including room preparation, cleaning and equipment organization.
Maintain a clean, safe and professional treatment environment.
Communicate respectfully with patients, clinicians and coworkers.
Protect patient privacy and follow clinic policies.
Complete administrative or other clinic-support tasks as assigned.

Required qualifications

Previous experience in a physiotherapy, rehabilitation, medical or patient-care setting is preferred.
Training as a Physiotherapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Kinesiologist, Personal Support Worker, massage therapist or in a related field is preferred.
Current CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Strong spoken English and excellent interpersonal communication.
Ability to follow clinical instructions accurately and recognize when to ask for help.
Ability to work the listed shifts consistently.
Ability to remain on your feet and safely perform the physical duties of the role, with or without accommodation.
Commitment to patient privacy, professional boundaries and respectful care.
