Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Salon Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our upscale salon. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and a productive workplace for staff. This role involves managing staff, driving sales, maintaining high standards of service, and implementing effective marketing strategies to grow the salon’s reputation and clientele.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise salon staff, including hairstylists, estheticians, and support personnel, fostering a positive team environment.
Oversee daily salon operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
Manage retail sales, merchandising, and product inventory to maximize revenue opportunities.
Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and store management tasks with accuracy.
Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Conduct interviews, recruiting efforts, and staff training & development programs to build a skilled team.
Maintain POS systems, perform cash handling duties, and ensure proper pricing strategies are followed.
Monitor sales performance and utilize sales management techniques to meet or exceed targets.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Manage client appointments using phone etiquette skills and organizational tools to optimize scheduling efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in salon management for 2-3 years (mandatory).
Strong leadership abilities with supervising experience in a team setting.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and basic math skills.
Experience with merchandising, purchasing, pricing strategies, marketing, and promotional activities.
Ability to manage time effectively while overseeing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSE

Ontario hairdressing license
Esthetician Certificate / Diploma
Hairstylist (Trade Certification)

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
