Full job description

Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader who knows how to turn operational challenges into results?

Parkhill Meats Limited, operating as Blue Lakes Premium Meats, is looking for an experienced Plant Manager to lead our growing federally regulated meat processing operation.

This is a key leadership role for someone who wants to be close to the operation — not manage it from behind a desk. We're looking for a strong people leader who can develop managers, build accountability, improve performance, and bring production, quality, safety and operational priorities together.

What You'll Lead

Provide overall leadership and direction for plant operations.
Drive performance across yield, throughput, productivity, labour efficiency, waste and product specifications.
Lead, coach and develop department managers while building a strong culture of accountability and teamwork.
Ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and consistently.
Champion food safety, quality, CFIA and regulatory compliance.
Drive continuous improvement to reduce waste, downtime and operating costs.
Work closely with maintenance and logistics to support reliable day-to-day operations.
Monitor operational KPIs, identify gaps and turn results into clear actions.
Build strong communication and collaboration across departments.
Maintain a visible, hands-on presence throughout the plant.
Partner with the President & CEO on operational priorities, performance and continued business growth.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including significant management responsibility across multiple departments or functions.
Proven leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment.
Meat, protein or further-processing experience is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of yield, throughput, labour efficiency, waste, quality and cost control.
Direct experience working within a CFIA-regulated food manufacturing environment is required.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and hold management teams accountable.
Strong operational judgment and practical problem-solving skills.
A continuous-improvement mindset with a track record of delivering measurable results.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, hands-on leadership style.
