Primary Care Paramedic (Casual Coverage – Event Medical Standby)

Location: Various local event sites throughout the region

Founded in 2012, HHS has an extensive client base with over 5,000 clients in diverse industries and sectors. HHS’s diverse scope of services includes a local assessment clinic, mobile services, on-site testing, staffing and remote medical service, as well as a dedicated Emergency Medical Division.

Job description:

We’re seeking dedicated and experienced Primary Care Paramedics (PCPs) to provide casual medical standby coverage for community events across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for local paramedics looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexible work arrangements.

As a member of our Emergency Medical Team, you will be responsible for delivering immediate onsite medical care to individuals experiencing injury or illness during events. You will assess the situation, administer appropriate care, and coordinate or arrange timely transportation to a medical facility when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide emergency medical assessment, intervention, and stabilization onsite.
Maintain a high level of readiness to respond to medical emergencies.
Collaborate effectively with other emergency responders, event staff, and healthcare professionals.
Ensure thorough documentation and reporting of medical incidents.
Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient care.

Qualifications:

Valid registration and certification as a Primary Care Paramedic (Alberta College of Paramedics)
Current BLS/ ITLS
Current CPR and standard first aid certification
Valid Class 4 driver's license
Current and clean Driver's Abstract
Previous experience in event medical coverage is considered an asset
