HHS’s diverse scope of services includes a local assessment clinic, mobile services, on-site testing, staffing and remote medical service, as well as a dedicated Emergency Medical Division.

Job Profile: Registered Nurse (Casual)

Hines Health Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN with a passion for critical care and emergency response. This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a real impact in industrial emergency medicine. Join our Emergency Medical Team at the heart of Syncrude’s Mildred Lake and be stationed in a state-of-the-art, brand-new fire hall, working directly alongside Suncor’s elite firefighter team. This dynamic environment not only places you at the forefront of industrial emergency response but also offers unparalleled collaboration with multidisciplinary first responders.

You'll play a key role in providing immediate, on-site emergency care and ensuring safe medical transport when necessary, making a tangible difference where it matters most.

Location & Schedule:

Suncor site: 12 hours casual shift
This is not a remote position, and will require you to work from the client’s site in Fort McMurray, AB

Compensation: CA$50.00 - CA$65.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, professional emergency medical care to injured or ill workers on-site.
Evaluate and manage patient conditions, determining care or transport needs.
Operate under full ACP scope of practice, adhering to medical control guidelines and protocols.
Collaborate with Suncor fire personnel in emergency planning, simulation, and incident response.
Maintain clinical documentation and support ongoing site safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Emergency/Acute Care/Occupational Health setting or equivalent experience
Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse or Bachelor of Nursing program
Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
Current ACLS and ITLS
Safety certifications: H2S Alive, CSTS, First Aid, and Common Safety Orientation as asset.
Experience working in collaboration with industrial fire teams.
Familiarity with Alberta Health Services EMS Medical Control Protocols.
Oil & gas or large-scale industrial worksite experience.
Ability to successfully obtain clearance for a pre-employment alcohol & drug screen
Candidates must be local to Fort McMurray or be willing to relocate to Fort McMurray.
