Summary:

AGAT Laboratories is currently looking for a Sample Receipt Technician to join our team in Fort Nelson, BC. In this role the successful candidate will be providing administrative tasks and support with basic logistics activities. On-call weekend availability will be required. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out where they will gain valuable experience and direction from the Logistics Supervisor and team.

Hourly rate for the role is $20.00/hr - $21.00/hr.

What you will be doing:

Ensure samples are properly entered in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and are available to laboratory staff in a timely manner.
Administrative tasks as required.
Ensure all sample integrity issues are properly documented and reported.
Ensure incoming non-sample deliveries are properly processed.
Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
Responsible to maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

Excellent customer service skills are essential.
High School Diploma.
Experience with LIMS is beneficial.
Previous customer service work experience would be an asset.
Good English communication skills.
Basic computer skills and experience with MS Office.
Organized and attention to details with ability to problem solve.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:
This position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a shipping warehouse environment. This position may require consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks. PPE is required where applicable.
