Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cake Decorator and Food Service Supervisor to join our team. This role combines creative cake decorating with leadership responsibilities in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, customer service, and team management, ensuring high-quality product presentation and exceptional guest experiences. This position offers an opportunity to showcase culinary artistry while overseeing daily operations and maintaining food safety standards.

Duties

Decorate cakes and desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail, ensuring visual appeal aligns with customer specifications.
Supervise daily food service operations, including managing staff, coordinating shifts, and ensuring smooth workflow.
Oversee food preparation processes, maintaining quality standards and efficient kitchen practices.
Handle POS transactions accurately using Micros POS or similar systems; process cash handling and payments efficiently.
Manage team members by interviewing potential staff, providing training, and supervising their performance to foster a collaborative work environment.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area.
Deliver excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Collaborate with management on restaurant or hotel operations to enhance overall service quality.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or bakery decoration; prior restaurant or hotel experience is preferred.
Supervising experience within the food industry or hospitality sector is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Leadership qualities with experience in supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and managing restaurant or kitchen operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
Previous experience in hospitality roles such as barista or serving staff is a plus.
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
