Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Full Cycle Controller to oversee the complete financial management process within our organization. This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency from initial transaction recording to financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to account reconciliation, budgeting, and financial analysis, driving the company’s financial health forward with enthusiasm and precision. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to lead our accounting functions and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Duties

Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries
Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to support business planning
Oversee the use of accounting software Sage 50 for daily transactions and reporting
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls across all financial processes
Collaborate with the owner during audits and provide necessary documentation for review
Invoicing from Time Tickets, uploading to platforms such as Open Ticket/Open Invoice/Ariba/Coupa/Cortex and many other invoice destinations
AP/AR
Payroll and reporting to CRA
Filing PST/WCB/GST as required

Skills

Extensive experience with Sage
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices with a focus on full cycle accounting processes
Proficiency in account reconciliation and detailed account analysis
Skilled in managing accounts payable, receivable, payroll processing, and budgeting activities
Ability to perform complex account analysis and generate insightful financial reports
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and present financial information clearly
