Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support licensed physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care, assisting with various therapeutic procedures, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, experience in hospital or acute care settings, and a genuine interest in helping patients recover and improve their mobility. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where your skills directly contribute to patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Assist physiotherapists with implementing treatment plans and therapeutic exercises tailored to individual patient needs
Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
Support patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and encouragement to promote effective recovery
Monitor patient progress and report any concerns or changes to the supervising physiotherapist
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in accordance with healthcare regulations
Assist with patient transfers, positioning, and mobility assistance as needed
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records when required

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice
Experience in patient care, demonstrating compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Certification or training as a Physiotherapy Assistant or related field is preferred but not mandatory
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
