We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Marijuana Budtender to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their cannabis purchases. Your expertise in cannabis products and ability to communicate effectively will help create a welcoming environment for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong retail sales experience and a commitment to educating customers about various strains, products, and consumption methods.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting cannabis products based on their needs and preferences.
- Educate customers about different strains, product types, and consumption methods to enhance their experience.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing display of merchandise through effective merchandising practices.
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and suggesting complementary items.
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products.
- Assist in inventory management, including filing, tracking stock levels, and reporting discrepancies.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to restock shelves or organize inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to time management practices.
Skills
- Cansell certificate is required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable; proficiency in English and French is a plus.
- Previous retail sales experience is essential, particularly in the cannabis industry or related fields such as hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey product information clearly.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing cash registers.
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory efficiently and maintain an orderly workspace.
- Leadership qualities that foster teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
