Full job description

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator / Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Brampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and programming Haas CNC machining centres, including Haas VF-6 and VM-3 machines.

This position is ideal for someone who is confident with CNC machine operation and can independently read drawings, set up machines, and create or modify CNC programs.

Responsibilities

Operate and program Haas CNC machining centres, including VF-6 and VM-3

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous experience operating CNC machining centres
Strong CNC programming experience is required
Experience with Haas CNC machines is a strong asset
Experience with Haas VF-6 and/or VM-3 is preferred
Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
Knowledge of CNC tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets, and setup procedures
Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Manufacturing or machining experience required

Working Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a 30-minute working interview to demonstrate their ability to safely operate and use the CNC machinery, as well as their programming and machining knowledge.

What We Offer

Approximately $30/hour, based on experience
Full-time, stable day-shift position
Monday to Friday schedule
7:30 AM – 3:30 PM

Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs
Set up machines, tooling, workholding, and offsets
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Select appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters
Perform machine setups and make necessary adjustments during production
Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
Maintain quality standards and production requirements
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

Pay: $30.00 per hour
