Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent time management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
Maintain cleanliness in commercial spaces, restrooms, break rooms, and other designated areas.
Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure high standards of hygiene.
Handle heavy lifting as required to move furniture or equipment during cleaning processes.
Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall operations.
Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding cleaning needs and schedules.
Follow safety protocols when using power tools and hand tools during cleaning or maintenance activities.

Skills

Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
Strong time management skills to efficiently prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and staff.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment is essential.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues promptly.
