**Located in Glendon, Alberta**

Title

Addictions Support Worker

Summary

As an Addictions Support Worker at Her Recovery, you will contribute to the delivery of bed-based services to persons with a chronic addiction, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. Your duties will include carrying out assigned tasks in a client focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers.

Shifts: 4:00pm-12:30am 4 on 4 off, 12:00AM-8AM 4 on 4 off

Responsibilities:

Supervising participants to ensure they adhere to facility rules and regulations
Ensuring participants safety
Reporting rule-breaking observed to counsellors during the morning shift handover
Driving and accompanying participants on trips off-site, for example NA/AA meetings, shopping trips etc.
Bag searches after shopping trips
Hourly rounds throughout the building
Facilitating the How It Works online meeting
Answer questions participants might have and pointing them in the right direction to find answers
Setting up continental breakfast
Provide emotional support
Completing a shift summary
General clerical duties may be required, for example creating binders that contains program materials
Any other duties assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

Completion of diploma from a post-secondary program in a related field or equivalent.

Clean Driver`s Abstract
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
Up to date First Aid and ASSIST training preferred.
