Position: Associate Dentist
Location: Grande Prairie, AB
Clinic: Gateway Dentistry Group

We are a friendly, fast-paced dental clinic with a small-town charm and a big-city attitude, committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Our team thrives on collaboration, and we’re looking for a confident, self-motivated dentist with a few years of experience to join us in a leadership role. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills, a team-oriented mindset, and excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with staff to build a cohesive, high-performing team and is passionate about helping the practice grow alongside our dedicated associate.

Specifics about the role:

Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Compensation: Enjoy a competitive commission with strong earning potential

What you’ll do:

Conduct dental examinations and assessments to evaluate patients’ oral health and support the development of appropriate, patient-centered treatment plans.
Provide general dental care for patients of all ages — including preventive, restorative, and basic surgical procedures — while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient.
Administer local anesthesia safely and effectively to support restorative and minor surgical treatments.
Perform restorations (fillings), simple extractions, and other routine procedures within your scope of practice, with guidance and mentorship available for more complex cases.
Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, prevention, and long-term maintenance strategies to promote lifelong dental health.
Collaborate closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members to deliver seamless, efficient, and compassionate patient care.
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation using the dental software system.
Participate in mentorship and continuing education opportunities to build confidence, expand your skill set, and grow as a practitioner within a supportive family practice environment.

What you’ll bring to the role:

A valid license to practice dentistry in the Province of Alberta, in good standing with the relevant regulatory body.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’re someone who puts patients at ease and connects easily with colleagues.
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to balance thorough care and efficient delivery.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask while keeping patient care at the heart of everything you do.
A team-first mindset and a genuine interest in contributing to a collaborative and caring workplace culture.
