Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Tattoo Artist to join our vibrant studio. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent customer service skills, and a strong portfolio showcasing diverse tattoo styles. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a creative environment where artistry and client satisfaction are at the forefront. The Tattoo Artist will be responsible for creating custom tattoos, maintaining high standards of sanitation, and providing an exceptional guest experience. Experience in related beauty or hospitality services such as body waxing, makeup application, or nail care is a plus, but not required. We welcome artists eager to grow their skills and build lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

Design and create custom tattoos based on client requests and consultations
Ensure all tattoo procedures adhere to strict sanitation and safety standards
Provide excellent customer service by guiding clients through design choices and aftercare instructions
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilization of tools and equipment
Assist with client scheduling, walk-ins, and retail sales of tattoo-related products
Promote studio services through guest interactions, product demos, and upselling techniques
Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and high-quality service delivery
Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and safety regulations to continually improve skills

Qualifications

Proven experience or portfolio demonstrating artistic talent in tattooing or related visual arts
Strong communication skills to effectively consult with clients and understand their vision
Knowledge of sanitation practices specific to tattooing environments
Customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or front desk roles is advantageous
Ability to handle multiple clients in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism
Creative mindset with attention to detail and precision in execution
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends if needed
Certification or licensing requirements as mandated by local regulations (if applicable)

Compensation: Our shop rate ranges from $125–$200+ per hour, depending on the style and complexity of the work. Artists earn 70–80% commission, based on experience, clientele, and performance. We're looking for talented artists who take pride in their work and want to maximize their earning potential in a supportive, high-quality studio.
