Peace Collaborative Services

COMPETITION NUMBER:

1.0 FTE - Temporary Position

Effective August 31, 2026 - June 29, 2027

A decrease to FTE per week and an alternative start date may be considered for the ideal candidate, please note your availability and FTE preference as part of your application.

Peace Collaborative Services (PCS) is a regional organization providing specialized educational support services across five North western Alberta school jurisdictions. Grande Prairie Public School Division employs PCS staff on behalf of jurisdictions in the region. Peace Collaborative Services is seeking a psychologist to join their multi-disciplinary school team. As the ideal candidate, you are energetic and enjoy working with children from Preschool through Grade 12. You will work collaboratively to integrate student programming with other disciplines such as Speech-Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy.

BEING PART OF OUR DYNAMIC TEAM, YOU WILL:

HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE – PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL CHILD SERVICES

Develop intervention programs, conduct periodic re-assessment/evaluation of individual programs and recommend adjustments as needed
Provide direct treatment intervention to specific children
Participate in case conferences, parent interviews, medical consultations, and clinic programming

TAKE A LEADERSHIP ROLE - OVERSEE PROGRAM SERVICES

Develop, implement, and evaluate a quality assurance program
Provide input into annual operating and capital equipment budgets
Provide input into the development and implementation of group programs
Attend staff, department and other meetings as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists is required
Provisional psychologists will be considered, supervision is available
Valid driver’s license
Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and Child Intervention Record Check
Pediatric experience is an asset
You work well independently and can show initiative
You are self-motivated and an enthusiastic learner with excellent problem-solving skills
